The nursing team offers a range of services including chronic disease monitoring (asthma, COPD, diabetes and coronary heart disease), wound care, blood pressure checks, cervical smears, HRT and contraceptive pill prescribing (once established) and immunisations, both for children and foreign travel.
Our district nursing team is based at Boldmere Clinic and works closely with the practice team. They care for the terminally ill, patients recently discharged from hospital and offer support to the elderly. They also undertake routine district nursing duties such as wound dressings for housebound patients. They can be contacted via our surgery.
Community Midwifery Team
The community midwifery team help to care for expectant mothers from early pregnancy to post delivery. They offer regular visits and antenatal clinics are held at the surgery on Tuesday mornings.
We have a phlebotomist (blood nurse) from Good Hope Hospital who attends the surgery every morning to take blood. Please check with the reception staff for availability.
